The Toronto Black Film Festival Is honored to pay tribute to the legendary filmmaker with the TBFF 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award. An intimate evening where you will watch a restored version of his film BAMBOOZLED and hear the Oscar winning director and Cannes Film Festival's first black Jury President, discuss his journey as a filmmaker as well as his views on the future of Black films and Diversity off/on screen; as well as his views on today's socio-economic environment. A privileged moment with the legendary director of Do the right thing, Malcolm X, Blakklansman.
Moderator: Fabienne Colas Named 2019 Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women, Fabienne Colas is an actress, filmmaker, producer and entrepreneur. She is also the president and founder of the Fabienne Colas Foundation as well as the Montreal, Toronto and Halifax Black Film Festivals.
